I have heard of going to Mexico for dental and medical treatment but don't speak Spanish. How will I communicate?
Dr. Talamantes and her staff speak fluent English. They will happily communicate in either English or Spanish.
I have pre-exisiting health problems. How will Dr. Talamantes manage a patient like me?
Dr. Talamantes begins every patient treatment by recording fully their medical history. After the collection of this data at the first appointment (and/or before by phone), she will contact your regular physician if necessary and consult with them regarding treatments and/or prescription drug effects. The results and recomendations of this research/consultation will be discussed with you at length. By following this dental/medical protocol your health and well-being is managed and becomes a part of your treatment plan
Is Dr. Talamantes available during the office's regular hours?
As of September, 2019 Dr. Talamantes schedules appointments on Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. However, she will make every effort to accomodate patients who need an appointment at a different day and time than those times available from the aforementioned regular schedule.
Is Acuna safe?
Acuna is often refered to as a safe border city. Although no one in any country can guarantee a visitor's safety it must be mentioned that Acuna has not experienced problems like those in the news in other far away bordertowns (Juarez, Tijuana). The city also welcomes visitors regularly to international trade shows and recreational events.
Do we do braces?
Dr. Talamantes does not do braces but we will gladly help you find a reputable braces specialist in Acuna if she determines that you need them.
How will I know if my dental insurance will reimburse me?
Any questions about insurance reimbursement should be brought to Dr. Talamantes' attention during the preliminary visit so we can find out and plan accordingly with you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Venmo, PayPal, Money Order, and Cashier's Check. All charges are in U.S. dollars.
Does Dr. Talamantes use dental treatment material from dental supply companies in the U.S.?
Yes. Dr. Talamantes currently purchases most of her dental treatment material from the best U.S. suppliers. She also maintains accounts with highly regarded Mexican supply companies.
